Biography

Olga Pyatnitskikh (soprano)

Olga was born in Simpheropol (Crimea). When she was 15 she got enrolled at the Glier’s Pre-Conservatory in Kiev where she kept studying for three years.

In 2003 Olga received the first prize at the “21 century” International Competition. In 2004 she got accepted into the Moscow State Conservatory “P. I. Tchaikovsky” in the class of Marina Alekseeva/Galina Pisarenko.
Every year Olga performed in concerts at the White Hall , Rachmaninov Hall and Small Hall of the Moscow Conservatory. During her studies, Olga prepared the roles of Amore (Gluck “Orfeo and Eurydice”), Musetta (Puccini “La Boheme”), Tatiana (Tchaykovsky “Eugene Onegin”), Micaela (Biezet “Carmen”).

In 2008 at the Big Hall of Moscow Conservatory, Olga sang Tchaikovsky’s “Iolanta” with success of public and critics.
While she was studying at the Conservatory she learned at the highest level Italian language, which Olga deeply improved with a lot of practice.
In 2009 Olga brilliantly finished the Moscow Conservatory and enrolled in the Post Graduate School of the same Conservatory.
2010-2011 she sang Sally in Barber’s “A hand of bridge” collaborating with the Opera Studio of the Moscow Conservatory.

In 2011-2012 she worked as a soloist of the Minin’s Chamber Choir , with whom Olga toured Japan performing romances and folk songs.

In 2012 she finished the Post Graduate Degree at the Moscow Conservatory and colaborated with Crimean Academic Musical Theatre, where she sang such opera roles as Leonora (“Trovatore” Verdi), Zemfira (“Aleko”Rachmaninov), Tatiana (“Eugene Onegin”), and chamber music in addition.

Since 2012 Olga has been an honored guest of the festival “Spring Waters”(Crimea, Simferopol).

In august 2013 Olga took part in the International Festival “Musica Riva” in Riva del Garda (Italy).

From 2014 Olga has been soloist of Rostov State Opera Theater (Rostov on Don) in which she has performed the roles of Tatiana (Tchaykovsky “Eugene Onegin”), Marfa (Rimsky-Korsakov “The Tsar’s Bride”), Elektra (Taneev “Oresteia”) and others. She studied the roles of Violetta (Verdi ‘Traviata”), Micaela (Biezet “Carmen”), Rosalinde (Straus “Der Fledermaus”), Marguerite (Gounod “Faust).

In august 2017 Olga took part in the First International “Eurasian Festival Of High Classic” (Crimea).
In february 2018 with the Chamber Orchestra of Crimea, Olga performed the part of soprano soloist in Pergolesi “Stabat Mater”.

From 2018 Olga has been holding several solo recitals in Oslo, Drammen, Tønsberg, Bodø and other places of Norway, where she has been living and studying from the 2019.

Awards: International singing competition “Arts and Education XXI”, Second Prize, Ukraine, Vorsel , 2002;
Diploma for “Best Voice of the Contest” at the competition “Romansiada” (Moscow, 2012);
Special Prize at the International Vocal Competition Riccardo Zandonai (Italy 2013).
